Small, intimate venue. Went to see a speaker, so I'm sure experience is different with a full show. Sat far in back of house, but able to see and hear perfectly fine. Seats are pretty old, but the whole place feels like walking back in time, so I enjoyed even the small feeling of the chairs.
I love everything hosted here. Intimate setting for concerts, theater and movie screenings. The addition of the basement lounge makes this classic theater feel even more retro, and ability to bring food and beverages into the theater makes it a great venue for kids and parents alike. Park in Portsmouth Parking Garage for a quick walk.
Old style, old great building with legroom, no bad seats in the house. Cocktails available. Helpful Staff.
This place is beautifully restored and updated! We REALLY enjoyed the October 25th showing of The Black Pirate (1926)
Always a great venue. The acoustics are great, and the seats are pretty comfortable. Great building with some nice renovations.
