We love the fact that hotel is connected to the Round-a-bout diner next door where we got a great breakfast.
Convenient location off the traffic circle and close to downtown. Staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed in the back building behind the main one and the only complaint I had was that it didn't smell all that great. I think it was a smoking room in the past and they didn't do a great job cleaning up.
Room was large but needed a chair and bed tale on one side of the bed.
TV, refrigerator, microwave were good. Bathroom was attractive - heat lamp is a good feature in New England. Shower water flow was on the weak side.
After visiting this hotel for over 10 years with family & friends I can say we will NEVER stay here again. I called to say the ice machine wasn't working and I was told to make ice in my room. We rented a 2 bedroom suite which was outdated but comfortable. Some spiderwebs in corners, but pretty clean. Two days later I check my bank account and was hit with a $250 charge. I call the hotel and the front desk said it looked like it was a cleaning fee to vacuum. I was transferred to the housekeeping manager who verified it was for vacuuming because there was "a lot of confetti" on the floor. I could have went and purchased a brand new vacuum and cleaned it myself or swept it up easily (it was circle confetti pieces). I think this fee is outrageous and also was never notified about it- is that normal? Seemed sneaky. They ended up cutting the fee in 1/2 only charging me $125 after I called. We have decided we rather stay at an updated hotel for the price they charge per night and encouraged all of our family and friends visiting to use other hotels.
My friends and I had an enjoyable stay here recently for a conference that we were attending. The hotel staff were all lovely and great at accommodating special needs. Overall the hotel was very clean, and I had no issues with the room. Some of the furniture in the common area of our suite could have done with updating but it was all very clean. Even though it is near a busy section of highway the traffic noise is almost non-existent in the rooms. The decor was lovely and made the rooms feel new. There was plenty of parking available, especially since the attached diner has a separate parking area. The diner is the only food available on site, but it was very good and we ate there more than once instead of going off-property. Even though it doesn't look like it there were plenty of food options near by (about a five minute drive) for when we wanted something different. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and would come back again.
Good location. Check-in was efficient although not especially friendly.
A nice central location for day trips to lower coast Maine and New Hampshire. Property needs some updates but is for the most part clean and comfortable. The restaurant next door serves good food but the portions are really big (sharing is a good thing, unless you are a big eater). It doesn't have any kind of view only of roads. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite which was very spacious (great for relaxing in the evening after a full day of sightseeing).
